De-clutter, responsibly.

We offer a free, easy-to-book collection service for all types of used household electronics, whatever their condition.

Only 20% of electronic waste
currently gets recycled. We’re on a mission to turn that into 100%

We’re doing this because electronic waste, or “e-waste”, is the fastest growing stream of waste in our digitally dependent world. Anything that doesn’t get recycled ends up in landfill, in the atmosphere, or collecting dust in people’s homes. We want to change that.

Our offer is simple. Book in a collection with us and we’ll come and pick up your items for free.

Once we’ve got them back to our East London HQ, we take a look at them. For some of the products that are good enough to be refurbished and sold on, you could receive cash back. Otherwise, the electronics are used for parts or safely recycled at specialist facilities to ensure nothing goes to landfill. We also have a range of charity partners, so your unwanted items might also find a new lease of life with them.

Data privacy is our biggest priority. We wipe your device clean using specialised software.

In fact, we use the same method the UK government demands for erasing data from its devices, and the same software as the biggest IT disposal companies. For hard drive destruction, contact us to book an appointment at our workshop.

We offer cash-back on all Apple MacBook Pros produced after 2011.
We’ll offer up to £200 on a mid-2012 i7 15” MacBook Pro in great condition.
See what we can offer you for that laptop that’s gathering dust.

We can collect most smaller items free of charge (laptops, DVD players, stereos).
If it’s got a plug and we can lift it, there’s a good chance we’ll take it!

The Major Corporates Getting It Right on Sustainability

With school strikes for climate change, Waterloo Bridge being transformed into a green camp by Extinction Rebellion and innovative biodegradable ‘bubbles’ offering water at the London Marathon, environmental awareness is quickly becoming the norm.

Five London businesses who are helping us to become more sustainable

Last month, the UK government’s Committee on Climate Change released a report advocating a legally binding target to reduce net carbon emissions to zero by 2050. As momentum continues to build throughout public and private sectors, innovators across our capital are creating novel solutions to help every day individuals and businesses in reducing their footprint.

How to recycle your Laptop with RECONO.ME

Your old laptop isn’t showing any signs of life; or it tries to boot-up and gets stuck on one of the infamous “Mac screens of death”; or maybe it just too slow to keep up with what you need of it.
